By Car
If you are travelling from the South on the A1 (M), follow the signs for Newcastle Centre. When you reach the A189 and cross the River Tyne, keep in the righthand lane and turn right at the third set of lights for City Centre (South A186).Then turn left at the second set of traffic lights and take the first right onto Fenkle Street.
If you are travelling from the North, follow the A1 (M) South and follow the signs to City Centre (West) A186. Continue to follow the A186, until you see a sign for Fenkle Street car parking. Turn left then take the first right into Fenkle Street.
From the A186, follow the signs for the A186 Newcastle until you reach the Fenkle Street car parking sign.
Car Parking
There is car parking at Hotel Indigo (adjacent) or Newgate Hotel (directly behind the Assembly Rooms on Newgate Street). Discounting parking prices available; please park your car and then make payment at the Assembly Rooms.
By Train and/or Bus
Newcastle Central train and Metro Station are 3 minutes’ walk from the Assembly Rooms. Several bus routes also stop at Newcastle Central
