Leeds Vegan Festival
Leeds Vegan Festival. After a host of traffic jams and several diversions we arrived at Leeds vegan festival, but it has to be said it was worth the effort. This was our second visit to the Leeds vegan festival this year, I think the last was around May. This festival was billed as WinterFest Leeds and had a very Christmasy feel about it, which was super.
As usual we found a large selection of amazing homemade foods and clothing, but this fest has a selection of handmade stalls the sort of thing you may find at a German Christmas market.
We attended talks, one of the best was from Ric O’Barry’s Dolphin Project – this is some detail about them (from their about page)
The goal of Ric O’Barry’s Dolphin Project is to put an end to dolphin exploitation and slaughter once and for all. Dolphins are regularly captured, harassed, slaughtered and sold into captivity around the world – all in the name of profit. The Dolphin Project works not only to halt these slaughters in countries around the world, but also to rehabilitate captive dolphins, investigate and advocate for economic alternatives to dolphin slaughter exploitation, and to put a permanent end to dolphin captivity.
