This coming Sunday (19th November 2017) will be our 3rd vegan festival to be held in Edinburgh, but our first to be held in the winter time. For pics and vids from last years event click here. This years event is on course to be one of our biggest and best. We have broke records on ticket sales and on number of stalls, along with some amazing guests including Vegan Choc Workshop, The Veganologist, Alexis Fleming and world record marathon runner Fiona Oakes.
Edinburgh Ethical Winter Festival is now only a short time away, on Sunday 19th November 2017 VFUK will land at The Principal Edinburgh (previously known as the Roxburghe Hotel) with a Christmasy feel vegan festival, doors open 10:30am. Join vegan’s, vegetarians and veg-curious from across the UK for this family fun day out. Meanwhile check out some videos and pics from Edinburgh Vegan Festival 2016 (Click Here)
1. Award Nominated Vegan Festival
Vegan Festival UK was nominated last year for BEST LIVE EXPERIENCE at the Tyne & Wear Lifestyle Awards 2016, this was obviously a huge honour not only because of the public nominating us, but being a chosen as a finalist from hundreds of other amazing events throughout the
region, unfortunately we were piped to the post by the Great North Run (Drat!), the good news is that this year we won an award at the prestigious People – Environment – Achievement Awards. The P.E.A Awards in London on the 13th October, yeah!
2. Amazing Vegan Businesses
This year we have a huge selection of vegan business’s coming from across the UK. If you have ever been to one of our festivals before you may recognize some of our exhibitors, but this year we have many new companies you may have never heard of. If you are not vegan or vegetarian you will soon realise that removing animal products from our lives, is easier than you think. Come and talk to these amazing companies, maybe taste / try some of there fabulous products and support the vegan movement.
This is what people had to say about our previous event.
As with our previous festivals the stall holders encourage you to try their wares, this normally comes in the form of food tasting or drinks. This year we will be handing some vegan goodies and vouchers to vegan restaurants in the area. As with most things that are free – first come first served.
5. Lots Of Things To Do In Edinburgh This Christmas Time
While visiting our festival, why not check out the world famous Edinburgh’s Christmas Market (which is a amazing, this market runs for six-week during the festive season. Edinburgh’s Christmas runs from 17 November 2017 through to 7 January 2018. If your still around the city in the evening why not try one of the many vegan restaurants.
A Fair Ticket Price
One of the main aims of VFUK is to inform and educate the people of the UK on the benefit’s of going Vegan, by keeping our ticket prices to a minimum this allows the Veg-Curious to come along and see that going Vegan can improve your health, help the environment and save lives of animals. Ticket price range from £1 – £2 which is a very cheap fun day out.
VFUK Is The Only Family Run Vegan Festival
If your an exhibitor, speaker or a visitor just ask one of the team for help – Andrew (My Partner), Lewis (My Brother), Mark (My Dad), Dawn (My Mam) or even ask my son (Baby Mason) unfortunately he’s too young to talk (but you may get a smile).
