1 – United Nations Want Us To Go Vegan
If the UN had their way, they would click their fingers and we all would be vegan.The UN for many years now have been under pressure to release information about the damage meat and dairy does to our environment. So eventually the International Research Panel (IRP) released report urging world leaders to deliberately make meat products so expensive so as to discourage consumers from buying them. Professor Maarten Hajer of Utrecht University in the Netherlands authored the report, released by the UN’s International Research Panel (IRP), which is comprised of 34 scientists and 30 governments. 2 – NASA’s Future Is Vegan
Approximately 2 years ago during a space convention talk, a NASA spokesman said , all their long term plans for space exploration will include a plant based diet, so they decided to to start growing and eating plants A.S.A.P. For the last 18 or so months all astronauts have been growing and eating plants within the International Space Station. Why plant based? Well, simply because it is not feasible to preserve meat and dairy projects long enough for the long trips. Plus, it is easier to grow fruit and vegetables than to store cattle! So, the next time someone implies that a planet based diet is not healthy, remind them to inform NASA.
3 – Have We Not Always Consumed Animal Products?
Although not compulsory in most religions, vegetarianism can be found in many faiths. Religions such as Jainism, Hinduism and Buddhism vegetarianism is not uncommon, also It may be worth mentioning that Hinduism has over 900 million practicing Hindus, and is one of the oldest religions that dates back over 10,000 years old. The history of vegetarianism has its roots in the civilizations of ancient India and ancient Greece. Although dairy farming has been around for hundreds of years, still over 75% of the worlds population cant digest dairy due to lactose intolerance, this is not to mention a significant number of people who choose not to consume it. The point being for ten of thousands of years millions of people have thrived without meat and dairy.
