Edinburgh Vegan Festival will be welcoming back Bill Tara for another of his very informative talks. Bill Tara a strong advocate of plant -based diets for almost 50 years. He was a pioneer in the natural foods movement of the 60’s and 70’s in both America and the U.K. as a Vice President in Erewhon Trading Company (USA) and Sunwheel Natural Foods (UK). Since 1973 he has devoted himself to education and health counselling, founding the Community Health Foundation in London and the Kushi Institute in London and Boston. He has been invited to present seminars in over 20 countries and served as the Director of Natural Medicine at the famous SHA Health Clinic in Spain. Most recently he appeared with Professor Colin Campbell and Dr Neil Barnard on the Vegan Health Summit.

Marlene Watson-Tara is a high profiled and dedicated health counsellor and teacher with over 35 years’ experience of transforming lives around the globe. An expert in her field and an international author of the bestselling book ‘Macrobiotics for all Seasons’, sold in; United States of America, Europe, Asia and Australasia. A lover of animals, nature and life, an ambassador of human ecology and an eternal optimist her mission is to educate the masses on why we should adopt a vegan lifestyle. Most recently Marlene appeared with Professor Colin Campbell and Dr Neil Barnard on the world wide Vegan Health Summit that presented 20 of the world’s top health experts.
The Spiritual Consequences for all Earthlings of mass Animal Abuse. This will be an in depth talk, exploring the present power relationship between humans and other animals. This talk will include a positive vision for people wishing to deepen their spiritual connection with animals. There will be time for some Q&A’s at the end of the talk before ending with a group meditation : healing for all animals and for humans who work for animal liberation. Thought is an energy and we can harness in a positive way for ourselves and other animals. Kate has been vegan for 40 years. She has worked with, and for, animals since 1968. Her work has included 30 years in animal rescue, and a lifetime of protecting the wild environment. Kate concentrates on educating people and promoting animal equality and compassion. She is a holistic practitioner and teacher of Healing and Meditation.
