SCOTLAND is home to a multitude of vegan enterprises from blossoming restaurants and cafes to a travelling butcher and an ethical taxidermist. But food lovers in Scotland are hungry for recipe ideas, new ingredients and just a bit more information on what vegan living is really all about.
It’s the high demand that prompted Vegan Festival UK to plan its first ever event in Aberdeen at the 22,000 capacity Pittodrie stadium. Kicking off on May 28, the event is set to be one of the largest vegan festivals in the UK. Some of the best vegan caterers across the country will gather to sell fresh food and pass on their tips and tricks, while organisers will also host talks on benefits of vegan living, environmental impact and health.
