This February we will be able to get our hands on the vegan version of Cornetto from Sainsbury’s. These delicious cone’s will be lined with chocolate, filled with soya-based ice cream, and topped with nuts and chocolate.
Cornetto has recognised that plant based eating is on the rise in UK and more and more people are turning plant-based every year. Consumers who choose cruelty free ice cream spare cows immense suffering in the dairy industry and also help reduce the devastating environmental impact of animal agriculture. Cornetto will be joining the likes of Ben & Jerry’s, who brought out vegan ice cream in 2017.
We can’t wait for our first Cornetto.
If you love the new vegan Cornetto’s please return and comment below or even nominate them for theVegan Awards.
After waiting for what seems to be an age, it has arrived. Ben & Jerry’s Dairy Free Ice Cream is now with us.
The ice cream, which will cost £5.99, will be available from a number of major retailers from the end of September. While the whole range of flavors won’t yet be available, vegan Brits will be able to pick up Chunky Monkey, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and Peanut & Butter Cookies.
More supermarket news – After the Lidle rumor about their new vegan range (Click Here), Iceland, have made their vegan customers very happy by announcing a new range of ice-creams, which are completely dairy free.
‘Nana’ ice cream which was released today comes in three different flavours: vanilla, strawberry and chocolate.
Iceland describe their new vegan cold sweet as being an ‘Award winning unique dairy-free banana and avocado based alternative to ice cream.’
Each tub is just 104 calories in total, as well as being both vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free. Better yet, the ice cream claims to provide one of your five-a-day with each serving.
Each tub costing just £1.50, we’d say it’s time to start clearing a size-able space in your freezer.
