Saturday 7th May (Yesterday) was our third installment of the Newcastle Vegan Festival. The event went off without any serious problems, thanks to a small team of volunteers, amazing stall holders, very informative speakers and of course the attendees, with out you guys there would be no festival.
I would like to say a special thanks to Wendy Turner Webster, who took time out of her very very busy schedule to travel the length of the country to present a panel of vegan speakers, then return home on the same day. I could not thank you enough.
I would like to thank James and Lydia from Team Banana – Very informative talk guys – keep up the good work. The Vegan Approach another superb talk about food and nutrition. Dean Bracher thanks for your talk on veganism, was very interesting that you speak in schools around the country. Glauce Lucas another amazing speaker – great talk on raising her vegan child. Kate Strong, thank you for your inspirational talk on your journey to winning the triathlon world championships.
I would also like to thank all the volunteers that took time out of there days off, to come and help out at the festival, last but not least I would like to thank all the people that chose to come and spend there time with us.
Thanks also to Made In Tyne & Wear Television for coming along and filming the festival. Im looking forward to seeing it on the TV next week.
Also thanks to all the people who handed in our feedback form. Hope we can take your suggestions on-board and make our next event(s) bigger and better.
Without stalls, without speakers and without attendees – there is no festival. Thankyou to everyone.
Team Banana will be speaking at Newcastle Vegan Festival (7th May 2016) this year. Their talk will be about their journey to veganism, a whole food plant based diet, then to fruitarianism. Fruitarian pregnancy and attachment parenting.
