On the 12th March 2018 Virgin Trains announced on their social media page that they now offer a VEGAN BREAKFAST!! Yes … a vegan breakfast!
This breakfast is filled with mushrooms, hash browns, spinach and baked beans. The breakfast costs £3.90 which is a very reasonable price for being on a train as in some places this is normally more expensive. Also if this wasn’t enough you can also purchase a hot drink of tea or coffee with soya milk. Even though this is only breakfast that they have added into their menus it is a step in the right direction and hopefully start to offer many more vegan options on board, also hopefully this is a leading example and other transport companies start to offer more vegan options. We look forward to trying this out next time we travel and will give you all an update.
