Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st August 2016 was the second Edinburgh Vegan Festival and our last of 2016. This year we seemed to have ironed allot of the issues that we had in 2015, even the queuing issue was reduced to minutes not hours, due to this years 2 day event.

I would like to thank everyone that was involved in this event, the volunteers, the stall holders, the speakers and the visitors. Most that attended came significant distances to make the weekend something special.

Special thanks goes to all our fabulous speakers. Fiona Oakes – Fiona has to be one of the most inspirational people I have ever met, Fiona took time out of her hectic schedule to travel over 5 hours to speak at our event. Sid Garza-Hillman – Mr Gaza-Hillman flew all the way from California USA (via NYC) to Edinburgh to speak at our festival over the weekend, and and then return home immediately (WOW). Huge thanks Kate Strong the world champion triathlete, Kate shared with us how she took her self from Zero to Hero on a plant based diet. Also I would like to thank the very informative Elizabeth King, the fascinating Mick Walker and the inspiring Glauce Lucas.

We no doubt will be returning to the beautiful city of Edinburgh during 2017, so watch this space.

Without stalls holders, without speakers and without attendees – there is no festival.

Thanks for the kind word Amy & Jo. Louise went directly to hospital last night and now is in the process of giving birth the a baby boy.

Had a brill time this weekend, came up with small army of friends from Sheffield and was well worth the trip. I met some very interesting people and ate to much food, that’s part of the deal when you go the a vegan fest I suppose. When is your baby due Louise.
